Wheelabrator Parc Adfer is being developed on the Deeside Industrial Park as part of the North Wales Residual Waste Treatment Project. It received planning permission from Flintshire County Council in 2015 and the development is in its three year construction phase.

Wheelabrator has selected CNIM Group as our EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) contractor. They in turn have appointed Clugston Construction to lead the civil engineering works. Together CNIM and Clugston form our chosen delivery partners for the Parc Adfer project.

CNIM Group is a leading European specialist for the design and construction of power plants and has delivered 163 energy-from-waste plants all over the world.
UK-based Clugston Construction is a building and civil engineering contractor which has built a reputation for safely delivering a wide variety of services and projects, many of them high profile award winning schemes for national and international clients.

Construction has started on the Wheelabrator Parc Adfer facility at the Deeside Industrial Park in North Wales.

As CNIM and Clugston let contracts there will be employment opportunities throughout the construction phase. The jobs available will vary, depending on the skills required as the project progresses.

CNIM and Clugston are holding a jobs fair at Coleg Cambria on 23 May 2017.

Operational recruitment will start in 2018 and positions will be advertised locally, including through Job Centre Plus.

There will be around 35 new full-time operational vacancies when the Wheelabrator Parc Adfer facility enters operations in 2019. These roles will range from plant manager to various specialist operational, technical and administrative staff.

We know there is great talent in the region and hope these positions can be filled by people from the local area.

At this stage Wheelabrator is not collecting personal details for people interested in operational roles, but we will want to hear from possible applicants nearer the time.
